bambi and casey bonded pair cats for adoption in edmonton

Bambi & Casey

History: Owner surrender

Description: These beautiful sisters are a bonded pair and must be adopted together ❤️ 🐈‍⬛ 🐈

Bambi is a very sweet and loving cat. She loves lots of pets and will seek them out by rolling on the floor for attention.
Bambi loves to sleep in the sun, eat catnip, play with a laser pointer and will jump for dangly toys. This pretty girl loves to have a snuggle and snooze with her sister, Casey.

Casey is also a very sweet girl but will need her forever home to be patient with her. She is very human shy and will hide, at first. This is only because she wants to make sure she’s in a safe place. However, once she trusts you, she will be coming for pets. Casey is a funny girl and will run all over the house wanting her sister to play with her. Casey loves to sleep in her bed, the heat register or the cat tree with her sister.
She is quite playful once she warms up to you. You’ll find Casey loves to play with all the same things her sister does – catnip, laser pointer and dangly fishing rod toys!
These girls are absolute sweethearts and really so special.

Millie & Mika

History: A kind older gentleman set up his garage for stray cats. A mama decided she would use his space to have her kittens. Mika and Millie are two of these kittens! The kind man did his best to feed them and keep them warm but, he realized he needed to stop the cycle. He reached out to HLH so they could get spayed and neutered and have a chance at finding their forever homes.

Description: Mika and Millie are a gorgeous bonded pair of torti’s! They are both still nervous and learning about humans, so they will require a patient forever home that allows them time to blossom.

Mika loves sitting by the window looking at birds and Millie loves the cat tree. They would love to spend their time in a cat tree together, watching the outside world. Mika is always the last to eat but loves treats! You can pet and hold her but Mika may need a bit more time and patience before being held.

Bob & Lupinha

History:
Owner rehoming due to recently accepting teaching positions in China starting in August 2024 and found out afterwards that they will not allow them to take any pets.

Description:

Bob fits the stereotypical “Garfield” image of a ginger cat. He loves to curl up and nap, loves treats and loves cuddles. Every night, without fail, he can be counted on to come lay down between us in bed, curl up and fall asleep. His catnip mouse brings him much joy. If you are sitting on the couch reading or watching a movie, it won’t be long before Bob will be sitting on the floor next to you, staring at you with his big green eyes, eagerly waiting for you to pat your lap and invite him up. Although, often he won’t wait politely for your invitation and simply jump up on your lap and curl up for a long nap. He is a master manipulator, melting your heart by curling up on his back, offering you his tummy for a rub, and staring soulfully into your eyes.

Lupinha was very aptly named – like a little wolf she is extremely loyal and devoted to her pack. When she feels she’s had enough of your cuddles and kisses and wants to break free, she will start with tiny, low growls, or even still a high pitched howl… but she’s never scratched or bitten anyone, even when she is intensely playing and hunting our hands or feet. She loooooves to be brushed. When she hears the bristles of her brush she will come running, and roll around, begging for you to brush her again and again. She has even started to run towards me when I am sweeping the floor, asking to be swept as well. She loves playing with paper balls – parchment paper ones are her favourite and she will pounce on them, carry them around the house in her mouth, and of course lose them under furniture and come running to you, begging you to rescue them or make her a new one. She will look at you with the most insulted glare if you dare try feeding her a treat or wet food, but catnip – she loves eating and smelling it!

Oliver

History: Oliver had her life turned upside down when her only owner passed away & she had to leave the only home she’s ever known. She was surrendered to Hope Lives Here in hopes someone else can take her in to give the love & attention she needs.

Description: It did take awhile for Oliver to come out of hiding & out of her shell when she arrived at her new foster home. Once she did she really blossomed! Now that she’s comfortable she loves to talk, be petted, play, & just be wherever you are. Although she loves pets she is not a big fan of being picked up & held. Oliver does tend to be easily scared which was not helped by another foster cat that liked to hide & jump out to scare her so it’s best Oliver is the only pet in the house. Oliver’s ideal home is one where someone is home most of the time & who loves to have a companion to follow around & talk about your day with. Is that you?

Tori

History: She was rescued in Edmonton just before the cold snap

Description: Tori is a chill little lady who wants to be where the people are. She enjoys following her foster family around the house and making sure to be a part of the action.

She is often observed finding a comfortable place to chill, curl up and watch the world or have a cat nap.

She thoroughly enjoys attention, snuggles and affection and is great with the young child in her foster home.

Tori will be the best companion to her new family and is excited to meet them soon!

Loki & Micah

Loki History: born onto a farm

Micah History: found along a highway

Description: Hi, our names are Loki and Micah! My foster family originally called me ‘Little Orange Kitty’ … which quickly became Loki, for short!

I really like my foster dad, once I jump onto his lap he will stay in his chair until my nap is over

Recently, Micah joined our foster home … she and I immediately became best friends 💙

Where I will be shy to start with, Micah is a purring machine as soon as she sees you! That’s why I like her so much!

Micah and I have ‘zoomies’ throughout the day. Then we have long naps … to prepare for our next play time!

We are looking for the purr-fect home, where we can stay together forever. 😊💙

Loki is a trapped farm cat, she was born on the farm. She had a litter of kittens… but it was so cold, they passed away almost immediately 💔

Micah … her rescuer saw her on the side of a bridge on morning when she was driving to work. Early last April. Took a few minutes, but she caught her … she was pregnant and had road rash 💔

She is a purring machine 💙

Loki and Micah became instant best friends. They are both small, adult female cats. They were meant to find each other

adorable kitty named Timon for adoption in edmonton

Timon

History: I was rescued from a farm out west with my mama and siblings

Description: I’m the dainty girl of the crew. I love to get my way. If my brothers try and wrestle with me, I just whine until they move on. I’d much rather be curled up in my Human’s lap while snuggling and watching tv, or in a kitty pile on the scratching post.
adorable kitty with white paws for adoption in edmonton

Sir Isaac Mewton

History: Unfortunately, he found himself with an injured paw & made his home on a kind family’s patio chair to ask for help.

Description:
Meet the incredibly handsome Sir Mewton!

Once safely in his foster home, he quickly showed off his wonderful personality. Mr. Mew lives for affection & a soft place to sleep. Though not terribly active, he’ll play with a kitty toy but really just loves to eat, nap & snuggle his person.

He lives with multiple dogs he tolerates by keeping his distance. He wants to be included but isn’t quite sure how.

Sir Mewton loves to talk. He will let you know when he can see the bottom of his food bowl (unacceptable!) or when you’re late to clean his litter box. He will always happily meow & purr before you come in for pets & enjoys a good brushing.

Mr. Mew would love to get aquatinted with you & show you how lucky you’d be to call him a member of your family

cute tabby cat for adoption in edmonton

Nala

History: She was rescued from a farm west of the city with her 6 babies.

Description: Hi, I’m Nala! I’m a farm cat at heart. I’m used to fending for myself so I do get startled with sudden loud noises. I do, however, love my people and purr super loud when brushed or pet. I’m not much of a lap cat and am still unsure about being picked up, but I’ll lay beside you on the couch. I did such an amazing job raising my babies, now it’s time for me to find my special home!

adorable kitten Simba for adoption yeg

Simba

History: I was rescued from a farm out west with my mama and siblings

Description: I’m a timid girl, but that doesn’t stop me from getting all the pets. I could sit there for hours and purr. I love to sleep under the covers once my humans have fallen asleep. My favourite thing to do is play with crinkle balls and wand toys. I would do best in a home with atleast one other cat to help me with my confidence.

bob and christian grey emergency foster home needed in edmonton area

Bob and Christian Grey

History:
Found as kittens in the streets of Edmonton. This beautiful bonded pair was taken in by HLH and placed with wonderful fosters. The boys have thought they found their forever home twice. But, by no fault of their own, were returned both times due to changes in adopters circumstance.

Description:
The boys are extremely loving cats. Bob likes to follow you around where ever you go and wants to be doing what you’re doing. If you stand still, he is doing figure eights between your legs. Both Bob and CG love to cuddle. Whether it’s sitting on your legs or curled up on your lap. CG is the one who will get up on your bed or come sit with you when you watch tv. CG is extremely talkative. He’s not the loudest cat in the world but, you can have full conversations with him.
They also really like watching things outside. A cat tree by the window would be lovely. They do get scared when there’s a lot of noises or sudden movements but as long as they have somewhere to hide, they’re okay. They just prefer a calm environment. Don’t let CG’s resting grumpy face fool you, he’s a sweetheart. They are extremely easy cats to live with, they just want to do things on their own time. They’re so so loving and very unique, they have just had some bad luck in finding the right person or family.

Bobby

History: A kind older gentleman set up his garage for stray cats. A mama decided she would use his space to have her kittens. Bobby is one of these kittens! The kind man did his best to feed them and keep them warm but, he realized he needed to stop the cycle. He reached out to HLH so they could get spayed and neutered and have a chance at finding their forever homes.

Description: Bobby is the one who always comes out first for pets, so get ready to give lots of scratches and snuggles. He is a lover of food and those fluffy toy balls to chase and bat around. He is not nervous at all and seems to be the leader of the pack. Because of this, he may not do well with another dominant male cat, but he does like other cats. He always likes to sleep in the hole of the cat tree and likes small spaces like boxes. He is amazing around his foster families dog, so even a dog in the home could be a companion!

Bambi

History: Owner surrender

Description: Bambi is a chill little lady who wants to be around her people. She enjoys following her foster family around the house and making sure to be a part of the action. Though she is not a fan of being picked up, she will throw herself on the floor or stretch out nice and long to get all the pets. She especially loves running water and drinks from her water fountain often.
She will look for a comfortable place, especially in her cat tree, to chill, curl up and watch the world through her exotic, slanted eyes or have a sweet cat nap.
She thoroughly enjoys attention, but needs a family who understands boundaries while she settles in to the home as she can be shy at first. She is good with other cats. Bambi will be the best companion to her new family and is excited to meet them soon!
